Sencha Training Portal—Boosting Your Team’s Development Efficiency
“What’s the difference between an xtype and an alias?”
“How about between a model and a viewModel?”
“Is the Modern toolkit only for mobile browsers?”
“Why does every error I see have something to do with a file called “bootstrap.js???”
“Publishes, twoWayBindable, reference, MVVM—oh my!”
Do any of these questions sound familiar? Have you overheard them at the office or thought about these yourself?
Sencha’s training portal provides devs the opportunity to get all their questions answered and equips them with the knowledge and skills to be more efficient with Ext JS framework and tools.
Our comprehensive training caters to the needs of every development team. The classes are split up into two main tracks; both led live by experienced instructors who are personally writing the always-evolving (and therefore current) courseware.
- Essentials of Ext JS—Duration: 1 week; Half day class
- Fast Track to Ext JS—Duration: 2 weeks; Half day class
Following the classic pedagogy of “I do, we do, you do”, the highly interactive training experience allows for a student’s varying background (beginner to advanced). At the end of each training, students come away with a better understanding about how the framework could be best utilized for their unique business needs. If you’re a backend developer with no web experience, a front end developer with no background leveraging OOP concepts or a legacy Ext JS developer looking to update your skillset, taking advantage of Sencha Training will avail you the acumen to tackle your next project with greater ambition and confidence. You will be equipped with the knowledge to create powerful, cross platform, multi-device applications.
Both trainings are designed to broaden and deepen one’s understanding of the Ext library; but with different targets.
Essentials of Ext JS—Duration: 1 week; Half day class
This shorter Essentials class is aimed at getting a developer up-and-running and productive quicker than they might otherwise be able to on their own. The class will demonstrate the most easily accessible and engaging core framework features while instilling confidence that your teams are ramping quickly and doing so with best practices enacted.
An emphasis on proven techniques for troubleshooting and workflows, with team based Ext JS development is stressed, while working on fun, data-rich web apps. The course provides hands-on experience developing apps that track earthquake data, locate International Space Station’s current position and crew, and create a music video playlist—all while playing nice with other Javascript libraries if the project calls for it.
Fast Track to Ext JS—Duration: 2 weeks; Half day class
The more comprehensive Fast Track to Ext JS takes a deeper dive into how the library can be customized, extended and integrated with extra functionality (packages) to address enterprise customer needs. Customer specific presentation, data and performance issues are discussed, while exemplifying where Ext JS shines in an unparalleled fashion. We will work with a more robust application that addresses multiple data feeds, dynamic and deep binding, custom components, 3rd party UI widgets, form binding and validation, routing and more. As part of the course, we will build a business traveler’s app that provides various business review options for the city provided by the user. We will be using the ‘Universal’ build set up which allows the synthesis of working with both Classic and Modern Toolkit for multi-device deployments.
Regardless of your background and development plans with Ext JS, your team can benefit tremendously with the various training options. We guarantee your devs will be able to put the learnt skills into practice right away and have fun in the process.
Start off this new year on a positive note and give your team the gift of learning to develop those eye-catching enterprise-level apps.
