Sencha Roadshow 2016: Europe Roundup – Join Us in Milan & Stockholm
Last week we held the first part of Sencha Roadshow 2016 in Europe. We visited London, Paris, and Munich in 3 days. These were really great shows, and it was a lot of fun seeing familiar faces back again.
You can still join us in Milan and Stockholm in April!

Danny McLaughlin, our VP of European Region, opened the events with a warm welcome. He shared an update on what Sencha has done lately. “We shipped something every week! 13 major releases, 35 minor releases, 8 beta programs and 5 new product releases.” Just to mention a few: Ext JS 6, Pivot Grid, Eclipse, Visual Studio, and JetBrains IDE plugins, Architect 3.5, and many more.
Don Griffin, Director of Engineering, traveled with us the whole week. He gave an overview of Sencha Test, our newest product, and showed how you can write Unit, UI and Application tests for your Sencha applications.
In London, we had Andrew Duncan from Swarm Online present: Using Ext JS 6 for cross-platform development on mobile. In Paris, Léopold Trouillet from Jnesis, showed how to optimize your Sencha apps for search engines. In Munich, Torsten Koch from Eyeworkers Interactive presented how to design beautiful UI for Ext JS apps.
Olga Petrova, Sales Engineer, DACH, and I showed how to migrate apps to Ext JS 6. This is an important topic because many of our customers tell us they’re still working with older versions of Ext JS. Our session showed, briefly, the value that can be gained by moving to Ext JS 6, and we discussed the basic steps you need to follow to upgrade to the latest version from Ext JS 3, Ext JS 4 / Sencha Touch 2, and Ext JS 5.
At the end of the show, Don showed the roadmap for 2016, and announced some of the new tools and framework features Sencha is currently working on.
Did you miss all this fun? Want to hear what Sencha is working on? You have another chance. We’ll be visiting Milan and Stockholm. You’ll have a chance to meet Sencha CEO Art Landro. Please take a look at the agenda and sign up now.
We’ll be visiting Milan on April 5th with our friends from iBuildings Italy. What makes this Roadshow unique is that we’re also organizing an App Camp that will provide hands-on training for Ext JS 6.
Then on April 8th, we’ll visit Stockholm with Sencha expert Emil Pennlöv from Orango.
We look forward to seeing you there!
